Our Approach
We provide therapeutic care to children and young up to the age of 18.
Our homes are fully-registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 and we work within the legal framework set out by the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, and other associated legislation. Our regulatory body is Ofsted, who perform regular inspections to ensure we are working to the appropriate standard.
Our Primary care model is underpinned by trauma informed practice, our therapuetic approach informs everything that we do. Additional therapy based on the individual needs of our children/ young people will be provided where appropriate.
All of our residential support team are trained in trauma informed practice, and supported by our in house therapist, to ensure care plans for all children and young people comply with our therapeutic model.

Specialist Care
Our residential support team provide a homely, warm, therapeutic environment. Care plans for our children and young people are developed with support from our inhouse therapist who works with individual children and young people, their social worker, education provider and their key workers to ensure our therapeutic model is consistently experienced by children and young people; thus ensuring stability and security.
We always try to find out as much information as possible about a child/young persons journey so far in order to make the transition living in our homes as easy as possible - we avoid children and young people having to 're-tell' their story time and again.
The child or young person’s education is provided through the Local Education Authority (LEA), some of the children/young people in our care will be supported by an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). Wherever possible children and young people will be supported to remain in their own schools.
Our homes are properties that allow children and young people in our care access to local amenities within their community. This ensures that they can expect the same opportunities as children and young people of similar age who are able to live within their own families. We have high aspirations for children and young people in our care and support them to believe in themselves.
Risk Assessments
Each child and young person will have their own individual risk assessments and plans, tailored to meet their particular needs while cared for by us. Every child/young person has their own designated member of the support team, currently known as a ‘key worker’ who helps to make sure assessments and plans are regularly reviewed and updated with the input of the child/young person, and wherever safe and possible, with input from parents. These plans are followed by all our team to ensure a high standard of service delivery that safeguards every child and young person in our care.
